Do you have large windows? Really large…like a whole wall?
You need window coverings for your large windows, but conventional shades and horizontal blinds are just not right. Your patio door allows the hot sun in late in the afternoon and needs some type of window treatment, but you still want easy access to go in out. The solution in both cases is the same. Go vertical!
Gliding Window Panels
With Hunter Douglas Skyline® Gliding Panels, you get a great variation on traditional vertical blinds. Instead of thin blinds, Skyline has wide panels that are wide enough to cover any window. Not only are these great window coverings, they can also make an excellent room divider. There are hundreds of patterns to choose from, so whatever your taste, Skyline has the solution for you.
Hunter Douglas Cadence® Soft Vertical Blinds have the soft curves of drapery but in a vertical blind. If you want to reduce outside noise, some Cadence fabrics can be textured with the Softex® process that muffles the hustle and bustle of your neighborhood.
If you want verticals in fabric, vinyl, or aluminum, Hunter Douglas Somner® Custom Vertical Blinds have an amazing variety of finishes from wood grain to sleek metal to elegant cloth. Some selections in this line reduce outside noise through their Softex® texture.
For the classic simple look, Vertical Solutions come in both curved and S-shaped vanes.
Crosswinds® Wood Vertical Blinds have the great look of wood blinds but in verticals. They make a great complement to horizontal wood blinds that you already have in your room.
There are several different systems for opening Hunter Douglas vertical blinds. There is the traditional chain and cord, or for the utmost in modern convenience, try the motorized option with remote control.
For Hunter Douglas window treatments like shutters, there are three options on how you can hang them as vertical window coverings.
- You can have a Bi-Fold Track, which can hold up to 6 panels hinged together. The panels hang from a top track, and they fold together as they are opened.
- In the Bypass track system, the panels also hang from a top track but slide smoothly past each other.
- Panels can be hinged to the frame or window opening and open inward like a door.
